Well, it’s been close to a month since the last album was posted and I think an explanation is in order. I was up against a deadline to get a book done and out in the world, so that took up a bunch of time and headspace. After that I went right into recording another book, this time with self-imposed deadline as I wanted to get the book recorded before Memorial Day weekend. However, the Sunday prior I started getting a scratchy throat and went the bed feeling the chills. Monday morning I tested positive for COVID...and that pretty much brings us today. I don’t really want to go into the details more than that. I’m better now and live has stabilized for the most part. The past few weeks were essentially adjusting to an alternate reality. I think my adjustment could have been much better. Music has been more of a contemplative, introspective tool right now than simply enjoying it and celebrating it. That made posting rather difficult in addition to really not having the time to do so.
